Lord help me, I’m NOT a Jeep guy! But it was a good deal, it fits my needs, and it’s really damn nice. Especially compared to the Patriot I had before.
It’s not 4-wheel-drive, but at least it right-wheel-drive.
It doesn’t have a Hemi, but at least it has the much-lauded Pentastar.
It’s not a Miata, but- well, so there’s that.

It’s exceptionally average!

We really like our ‘14 Overland. I just gave it a bath today. In doing so, I discovered that my wife’s vehicle and my truck are a mere 15 miles apart on the odo.
I think these are one of the nicest looking SUVs out there.

As long as it’s not consistently crap.

Stopped a guy at a gas pump the other day to ask how he liked his 2013. He gushed, like you just asked about his Nobel-prize-winning grandchild.

I’ve driven many of the current-gen Grand Cherokees and I like them quite a bit. They’re big but not gargantuan and the 14+ has the excellent 8-speed auto. A 2wd with the 3.6 is plenty to eat up highway miles.

While you don’t have to be a bro about it, does having two Jeeps in a row not make you a Jeep guy?

I’m a big fan of that generation. I like those headlights more than the face lifted current ones.

Agreed!

Nope. Just working with what I have available, in both instances.

That’s 99% of what I plan to do with it, drive 70 miles a day to work and the grocery store.
It’s really damn nice inside, even in base spec.

My CR-V and Dad’s GC. It’s really nice, we love it!

Just coincidence. Fair enough.

I mean, both of my Jeeps have been two-wheel-drive. I think that gives me negative Jeep-bro points.

Yeah, that helps. My thought was just that if you continue to buy them you can’t hate them entirely. I operate under the hope that is possible to like Jeeps without being a BRO.
